Ashraf Ali has over 18 years of work experience in handling the Anti-Counterfeit activity. Out of which, the initial seven years were on-field experience, which helped him understand the issue better and further develop new techniques to fight the curse of counterfeit in the best way possible in his organisation.
Currently he is working with M/s Bayer CropScience Ltd, which is a world leader in the areas of crop protection, pest control, seeds and plant biotechnology. Bayer CropScience develops and markets fungicides, insecticides, herbicides and seed treatment products.
Prior to joining Bayer, he was working for M/s Lucas Indian Service Ltd. as Asst. Manager- Brand Protection. Lucas Indian Service deals with manufacture, sale and supply of auto electrical parts.
His current responsibilities at large includes developing plans and strategies to fight against piracy & counterfeiting, organizing public awareness campaigns about the merits and demerits of using original and counterfeit products of BAYER CropScience Ltd., visiting the Law Enforcement departments & Govt. Authorities to sort out the queries arising (if any) during the raid or post raid. He works closely with Crop Life India (CLI) ACF committee for Govt. Advocacy, ACF trainings to Govt. officials (Agri. Dept., Customs, Police officials etc.).
